Competitive Team

So you want to play Quidditch?

The Queen's Quidditch Club is one of the many member teams from across Canada in the Quiditch Canada league, with university and community teams there is no lack of competative opponents. In the past the Queens Quidditch Club has also participated in tournaments in the US, bringing new experiences and levels of competition to the game.

Competitive Muggle Quidditch is the only Co-Ed Full Contact Sport offered at Queen's University, but feel free to come by Tryouts in September, no matter what your previous experience in contact sports is! We fill a Competitive Roster of 21 players, and also select a Devlopment Team of 10 players who will practice with, and be substituted onto, the Competitive Team throughout the season for various games and tournaments.

Joining the Competitive Team requires registration into the Recreational League, however as a player on the Competitive Team, there is no requirement to attend Sunday Rec. Of course, you can always go along for more practice.

Weekly Practice schedule will be determined once the team has been chosen, but in warm weather generally consists of thee outdoor practices each week, and weekly workouts. In winter, the practice schedule consists of one outdoor and two indoor practices , any lost time is made up indoors with drills and extra gym time.

As you may have noticed, we are looking for determined, committed, and energetic individuals for our Competitive Team. If you have any further questions, feel free to Contact Us through either the aptly named page, or check down below for links to our Facebook, Twitter, and Email.

Tryouts for the 2015-2016 competitive team will take place in the second week of September, click here for more about tryouts and how you can pre-register TODAY.
